The Minister for Education and Training, Verity Firth has announced that every government school in NSW would receive a grant to buy sporting equipment under the Premier's Sporting Challenge.
"Physical fitness, teamwork and discipline are all essential to a student making the most of their opportunities at school, in and out of the classroom.
"This program supports all schools in helping their students achieve active and healthy lifestyles."
This year's $7.5 million allocation averages nearly $3,300 per school. For further information go to: Newsstand
