Building the Education Revolution website.

This video portrays a library for a larger school than Sandy Beach, but it will give you an idea of what our new library will look like-ours will be a little smaller.

SBPS has selected a new library as part of the

Primary Schools for the 21st Century program.

Wonderful news for Sandy Beach!!

"Under the Australian government’s Building Education Revolution, subject to Ministerial agreement, we are being offered:
A new school library worth up to $1.6million
Three (3) new permanent classrooms worth up to $900K

This is great news because it means not only $2.5million of new buildings for our school but also opportunity for local businesses to be part of the building and fit out over the next 2 years.

It is also great news because our existing library becomes available for other purposes.

The addition of a new library and 3 permanent classrooms and the freeing up of the existing library space provides us with much more flexibility for teaching and learning in the 21st century". Ray Rincheval Newsletter No. 14 – Wednesday 12th May, 2009
